Research Interests

I apply statistical and computational techniques to large-scale genetic data sets in an effort to identify genomic regions underlying susceptibility to common human diseases, with a particular focus on autoimmune-related diseases. To date, my research has focussed heavily on the design, analysis and interpretation of genome-wide association studies. I have taken a lead a role in the identification of almost 100 risk loci for inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD).
