Research

I am interested in clinical, epidemiological and outcome studies on systemic vasculitis. I have studied the epidemiology of primary systemic vasculitis in Southern Sweden.  Our studies included ANCA associated vasculitis, polyarteritis nodosa, Behçet’s Disease, Giant Cell Arteritis, and Takayasu’s Arteritis.  At the Department of Rheumatology, Lund University in Sweden, I am the PI of a comorbidity project addressing the frequencies and predictors of common morbidities in ANCA vasculitis and giant cell arteritis including cardiovascular diseases and cancer epidemiology.  In June 2013, I joined a postdoctoral research fellowship at the Vasculitis and Lupus Clinic under the supervision of  Dr David Jayne. My current research in Cambridge focuses on the immunogenicity and safety of influenza and pneumococcal vaccinations in ANCA associated vasculitis and the outcome of biological treatments in ANCA associated vasculitis and Behçet’s Disease.
