NK cells are classically regarded as being members of the innate immune system. Recent evidence suggests, however, that also NK cells are able to "remember" previous activation and to mount more efficient immune responses upon re-encountering virus-infected cells.

In my project I want to prove the evidence for "memory" NK cells, characterise them and determine their relevance in virus infection and cancer.
