Research
Supervisor: Professor Hill Gaston
My research interests are currently focused on immune regulation, specifically the role of innate immunity in inflammatory conditions. I am currently undertaking a PhD at the University of Cambridge within this field.
I graduated from the University of Leeds in 2006 with a BSc in Medical Sciences, and subsequently work at GlaxoSmithKline investigating novel therapies for steroid-resistant asthma. I then completed my Masters degree in Immunology at Imperial College London in 2010 where my work was focused on investigating effects of cytokines on memory CD8+ T cells.
I then joined King’s College London in October 2010 where I investigated the clinical potential of regulatory T cells; firstly in type 1 diabetes, and subsequently with regard to developing protocols for the safe and reproducible expansion of gut-tropic Tregs for use in Inflammatory Bowel Disease.
