Research Interests

I have done my PhD at NUIG, Ireland on the molecular mechanisms behind ER stress induced autophagy and induction of alternative cell death modalities. As a part of Kaser's group I am planning to apply my knowledge in these topics in order to understand how complex genetic and environmental alterations can be a cause of inflammatory bowel disease.

Keywords

cell biology ; gastroenterology ; apoptosis ; autophagy ; endoplasmic reticulum stress ; cell processes ; inflammation

Topics

  • inflammatory bowel disease
  • Crohn's disease
