Enrichment of CD56dimKIRþCD57þ highly cytotoxic NK cells in tumour-infiltrated lymph nodes of melanoma patients
Francesco Colucci and colleagues from Karolinska, Harvard and several Italian labs published in Nature Communications this week:
Francesco summarised it for me as follows:
"Normally NK cells in lymph nodes are not very cytotoxic. We find that those from tumour-infiltrated lymph nodes of melanoma patients are surprisingly tough killers!"
