Subject:
Cambridge Immunology Network
Inflammation is a common feature of neurodegenerative diseases and mutations in innate immune genes increase the risk of Alzheimer's disease and related dementias. My research interest is on the immune cells of the brain known as microglia and how they react to, and possibly contribute to, the neurodegenerative process in dementia.
