Research Interests

I am interested in maintenance of B cell immune tolerance and its breakdown leading to systemic autoimmunity. My current research project is focused on examination of antigen specific inflammatory plasma cells in patients with Wegener’s granulomatosis, exploring their survival niche in inflamed tissues and defining their role in both systemic and localized disease. Targeting these plasma cells and their niche may represent a novel therapeutic approach.
